Funny, the things you learn while idling on TV Tropes.  Today's strange discovery: there is a historical Grand Vizier Jafar, who is the template for the evil vizier from Thief of Baghdad (played by Conrad Veidt, so he's a blue-eyed Arab with a German accent), and, of course, Disney's Aladdin, and therefore, indirectly, for all the cackling Grand ( Read more... )
